Summer Time

R7 has officially been out of school for a week. He spent this past week at the lake with his grandparents. And we have him signed up for several day camps. But now the real question is do any of you know of any great summer time activities for a 7 soon to be 8 year old?

We still have a week of baseball left. Then we have VBS. I have several things to keep him busy for the next few weeks. But after that it is the same old thing. I am in need of something to break up the routine.

I would appreciate your help.

Have a great summer!

Tube Day *updated*

Oh my it is early!

Well today is "tube day". R3 will get his tubes in his ears in just a few short hours. I have been through this with R7 but that was years ago and my anxiety has resurfaced. When I signed all of the papers last week my body started to twitch. At that time I didn't know if it was from filling out the same paper over and over or from the surgery scheduler telling me we owe $ XXX.XX before his surgery date.

I realized when I got home that I was a nervous wreck from the list of "things that could go wrong" during surgery. They will only have my baby back there for about 30 minutes. But that feels like a life time to me. I have prayed for him since the day we found out about the surgery. I know God is in control. I know he will be with the doctors, moving their hands in just the right way. I know He will be with R3 when they take him back and administer the anesthesia. I know He will be with me to wrap his arms around me and give me comfort.

I'm leaving you with a gift: peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So, don't be troubled or afraid. (John 14:27)

This is the bible verse I have been reading to calm my mama heart from the jolt it had after I read the list. He is leaving me with peace of mind and heart. God is giving me all I need to get through this morning. His peace is strong and it overwhelms me.

Please pray for me this morning and please pray for R3 as he goes into surgery.

I will post an update as soon as I can.

Thanks!

*update*
We made it through surgery. R3 was done by 9 and we were home by 9:30. Thank you for all of your prayers.

Awana closing ceremonies

This past Wednesday was the awards ceremony for Awana. I have mentioned the Awana program before.

R7 along with the rest of the Sparks got on the stage and received their awards. He was recognized for perfect Sunday school attendance, book sections completed, and game participation. He was proud of himself and we were proud for him.

This program takes dedication not only from the child but from the parents as well. It becomes a family affair. I learn so much from my child during the program year. I am glad that he has continued to want to be a part of Awana.

I was going to post some pictures but my camera isn't wanting to cooperate with my computer. I will keep working on it.

Memorial Day Weekend part 2 *updated*

Before I get to the details of the weekend let us pause to pray this Memorial Day for our veterans and soldiers. It is because of them we have this day.

OK, like I said we went to the lake for the weekend. We left Friday afternoon. It really was a great weekend aside from the one major problem we had on Saturday and I will get to that later.

Sister in law and her family were at the lake with us at the in-laws house. The boys love hanging out with their cousins. We got up early Saturday morning. Big Guy made pancakes for everyone. He is the best pancake maker ever! Then we all headed out to the dock and got on the boat. The kids had a blast riding the tube and skiing. They even tried something new...wake boarding.

We came in just long enough to eat lunch and then back out they went. I took R3 to the swimming pool. R7 and my niece came along with us. We didn't get back to the house until around 4-4:30. We were all tired and wanted to rest.

We had BBQ for dinner and then we watched the video mother in law took of all the kids during the day. It was funny to watch. Her camera skills were lets just say challenged with the waves and all.

Sunday was more of the same. Boat, tube, skiing, and I even got in the tube. R3 rode the tube again. I must say this. He can't swim! Yes he had on his life jacket all of the time we were in the boat. The tube is fits two people so R3 had someone with him all the time but He can't swim! Big Guy would do nothing to hurt R3 ever, but he sure did give this mama heart failure. I know we, meaning me, Hubs, sister and brother in law would all just in after him but I'm just saying.

He loved it y'all! He kept screaming,"go faster Big Guy, go faster" He never did. He knew my mama heart couldn't handle it. I would have past smooth out on the boat. R3 never did want to get out of the tube.

We came home today, a little bit more tan than when we arrived. OK a little bit more red. I put sun screen on the kids. But I needed some color. I got what I wanted but I wanted tan not red. Today it has turned pink so hopefully in a day or two it will be a nice golden brown color.

Oh yeah the Saturday afternoon bummer. The A/C went out in my car. Anyone who lives any where in the south knows you can not go with out A/C. It went out Saturday afternoon on our five minute ride back to the in laws from the swimming pool. To say the least the hour and half ride home today was hot even with the windows down. Needless to say my car will be taken in to have the A/C fixed tomorrow.

**update**
The A/C wont be fixed till tomorrow, they had to order the part. Do they know that it is 150* outside? Hurry UPS hurry!
Oh well, here are some pictures of us at the lake.

1st and 2nd picture above is of R7 and my niece

3rd picture is R3 and my nephew. 4th picture is R3, my niece, and myself

So for the Memorial Day weekend we are going to the lake. My in-laws have a house there. We are looking forward to a lot of sun, swimming, and skiing. And of course eating! I will try and remember to post some pictures when we return on Monday.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. See ya!

Prayers for the Chapman Family

My heart was so heavy after reading this. I pray that God will wrap his arms around each of them and give them comfort and peace as they go through this tragic event. Please keep them in your prayers.

Blog addiction

I am so addicted. I don't even know how it started but I need help. Serious help. I am addicted to blogging. Yes I am.

I have about 10 blogs that I read every morning before starting my work day. (see my blog roll for said blogs) This is how the day starts for me. Instead of coffee to drink I read blogs. This takes up about and hour or so of my morning. Then I check them again at night while I am posting my own blog for the next day.

My addiction is growing. And growing fast. It started out at about two or three and it has steadily progressed from there. There are some very interesting interpeeps out there. They have me laughing, crying, smiling, and praying all the time. What wonderful peeps you are.

Hubs is getting worried that the computer just might suck me into bloggy world never to return me. I have assured him that if this happens the house cleaning fairy and laundry fairy will come by and take care of these things for him.

*note to self, email the fairies.

So with that I am off to read more blogs. Thanks interpeeps!

I could be the next Food Network Star Y'all

I am cooking! I hardly ever cook. It's not that I don't like to because I do. It is that Hubs does it so much better than me I just let him cook. Tonight however I tried my hand a new recipe. I am a fan of The Food Network. I love to watch Home Cooking with Paula Deen and Semi Home Made with Sandra Lee. I have tried several of their recipes and love them all. So tonight I tried another favorite. Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis. It is a complete sin that a cook should be so thin. I have always heard never trust a skinny cook.

I was watching Giada's show this weekend and she made an appetizer that had my mouth watering. So after watching I went to the trusty internet and found her recipe for Crostini with Sun Dried Tomato Jam.

I made my list and hit HEB. I walked the aisles looking as if I actually knew what I was searching for. I was putting items in the cart with a smile across my face like I had a big secret. If they only knew.

Well tonight was the big night for me to try said dish. I gathered all my ingredients, set up my cutting board and even sharpened my knife. I was waiting for the network producers to walk into my kitchen and offer me my own show. I am waiting, still waiting.

I followed the directions exactly as the recipe said. The aroma that filled my kitchen made me think I was in Italy. Not really but if I closed my eyes I could see Tuscany on the horizon. OK so I can dream can't I?

For the next forty minutes I watched my concoction boil and then simmer. They say a watched pot never boils. I proved them wrong because mine did. I waited patiently to put the finishing touches on my dish. Once I did I could hardly wait to try it. OH ME OH MY! It is heavenly. I couldn't just eat one. Oh no I had like four or five. Yes I did. And to prove that I actually made this dish. Feast your eyes on this.

Water fun

So Sunday after we woke up from our naps I took the boys outside for a little water fight. Who would have thought an empty cooler and a water hose would be so much fun?

Backyard Blackberries

Hi there interpeeps! I have been wanting to say that.

So R3 and I were in the back yard the other day and I noticed along our back property line there were several blackberry bushes. I can remember as a kid going into the field behind our neighborhood and bringing a bucket and filling it to the top with blackberries. I would go home and wash them and pour sugar all over them and eat them for hours. YUM!

So with the memory still fresh in my mind. I called R3 over to look at the bushes. We found a few ripe berries but most of them were still red. I told him in a couple of days they would be all black and we could pick them and eat them. He was so excited he started to run up and down the fence line.

Well today I noticed several had turned so I grabbed a small container and R3 and I made the rounds to all the bushes. We had that container filled in no time but we both kept eating them. Nothing like fresh blackberries.

We went in side got the sugar and together we poured it all over the berries. We then went back out into the yard and proceeded to eat all of them. He was so proud of himself. I told him we still had plenty of blackberries to pick but needed to save them till they were ripe. He said ta-mar-row we can pick them. I told him yes tomorrow we can pick them. Knowing full well we would be waiting a few more days. But check out the beautiful blackberry bushes in our backyard.

Talent Show

The talent show on Thursday was fun! R7 did a great job of being the MC for the event. I even have him singing along with one of the songs.

Friday was field day and I took the day off so I could be there. R7 and I have a tradition we started when he was in kindergarten. After field day was over we would spend the day together doing what ever he wanted. The first year we played putt putt and went to the mall so he could be hooked up to some sort of contraption and jump what I thought was about 1,000 ft in the air on a trampoline. I am sure this was a totally safe thing for him to do. The next year he wanted to come home and do nothing but watch TV. OK so this year he wanted to go eat Mexican food and then go the batting cages. This would have been a great idea but the cages didn't open until 3:00 pm. So I drug him to the next best place. A trip through the car wash and then to the grocery store. FUN! I know he was totally bored with both. But I got my car cleaned and didn't have to fight with R3 at HEB.

We did do something fun as a family that afternoon. We went to see Narnia. It was fantastic. (what I saw of it) R7 was glued to the movie and didn't budge. R3 well lets just say that we won't be taking him to a movie again until he is 27! I saw the inside of the bathroom at least 44 times. OK not that many but may be 14 or 15. I really didn't mind. I would rather go up and down stairs than have and accident. The funny part is every time we would make this trip to potty world, he really did have to go. You moms know just what I am talking about.

Anyway, that's about it. Here are a few pictures from field day. The tug-o-war event was fun and so was the noodle race.

Thankful Thursday

So it's time for another edition of Thankful Thursday. Here are several more things which I am thankful for.

1. My love for Jesus
Yes I love Jesus! I will say it loud and I will say it over and over. I am so glad to be a child of the King. I am saved by his grace. His grace. That just blows me away every time I think about it. I can't even wrap my mind around it. He loves me. Completely and unconditionally. By his grace I am forgiven of my sins. All I had to do is accept him into my life. Amazing! I am thankful.

2. My in-laws
I know, I have heard horror stories of people and their in-laws. But I truly love mine. They are wonderful. Yes we have our moments just like everyone else. (Just don't ask me about their trip to Hawaii) Mother-in-law is a God loving woman and it shows in everything she does. She is so good to our family. The boys want to be with them at the lake all the time. Father-in-law has turned into a softy with the birth of R3. He lets that boy do things he never let the other grandchildren do. Example- drink after him. But when Big Guy speaks and says to do something, you better listen and do it. I am thankful for these two people.

3. The bloggy world
Crazy? Yes? Since I have been blogging I have been blessed with reading stories by some remarkable women. Each one has brought something different to my life. Though I have never met any of them I enjoy what they each bring to the table. I may not always agree with what they post but I respect them. I don't even remember how I came to find this world of blogs but I did. And I am thankful!

A catchers story

I must brag. R7 has his best game by far this season! He was on fire last night. Every one was fielding and hitting great. His whole team was dead on to. And I must say when we are on watch out.

R7 is the catcher. This is a hard position to play. You must be in the game all the time. No time for mind wandering here. 100% concentration all the time. I thought for sure this would be a hard thing for my child. He like to talk to his friends as they get on base or just do what ever while waiting for a play at short stop or second base. He is his mama child, he likes to talk.

But he is doing terrific at this new position. He is focused and baseball ready. Last night's game was exciting. I know it sound crazy to be getting this into a baseball game for 7 and 8 year olds but the dad's are worse than me. So I have a little room to talk.

R7 made some awesome plays at home last night but three really stand out. Twice the infield over threw the shot home and R7 jumped in the air and caught the ball and got the runner out as he as coming home. The third time it was thrown just right of home plate and he ran for the ball, got it, made a sweep motion to the left and tagged the runner out. It was a great play. I was screaming like the nut that I am!

Every time R7 walked past the spot where I was sitting he would just smile. He was proud of himself and I was proud for him.

Everyone was cheering. And with that play the inning ended and all of the coaches were patting all the kid on the back. That is one thing I love about our coaches. They praise all the kids not just the ones doing good but even the ones that struck out or missed the ball. Everyone gets a pat on the back. After the game was over the coach told them he was proud of them. They played hard and gave it their all.

I knew R7 was feeling pumped about the job he had done because when he got in the car, he gave his dad and I a replay of the game. Funny, wasn't that the game I just saw? I loved it though. I know he won't be this little for long so I am going to soak it up.

Crazy times

Can someone tell me why the end of the school year is so darn crazy! It seems every year the end of school gets more complicated. R7 has two weeks left and it is total chaos at my house. Not to mention the money tree in the back yard is just about bare.

Just this week alone we have a two baseball games, a talent show, and field day. Then next week we have two more baseball games, end of school class party, and a water gun fight. Woo Hoo!

It seems the end of the year costs just as much money as the beginning of the year. Everyone asking for money for this event or that party. UGH! I don't mind $5.00 here or a couple of dollars there. But I get completely frustrated when the class mom send home a note asking for $30.00.

I feel like I deserve an itemized list of what my money will be spent on since we won't be in need of any new crayons. It should be kind of like a credit card statement. Here your statement R7's mom. See where all your money went.

*$10 for the teacher gift. (remember there are at least 18 kids in this class)

*$12 for junk toys and a bucket for said toys for each child in the class.

*$8 for the pizza party for the entire class.

Service Charge:

Oh and by the way could you please send snacks for the class we are running low, there goes another $10.

All of this coupled with R3 and his "Tube Day" is making me totally crazy. I may need another day all to my self and call it Mother's Day 2.

Hubs, here is my official notice, I am taking off on Sunday. You will find me at the spa.

Happy Mother's Day to me and you and you

I need to start by saying that Friday was just a stressful day! We took R3 to the ENT that morning and after spending almost 3 hours it was determined that he would need tubes in both ears.

I had mixed feeling here. I want him to get the relief he needs so tube were the answer. But at the same time I seriously thought that we had beat the ear infection thing. So I was upset knowing we were going to have to go through this all over again. This time with a different child of course. The surgery, ear plugs, making sure water does not get in his ears. Just thinking about makes me anxious.

The 29th is the day we have dubbed at "Tube Day" I still don't know what time his surgery is but the funny thing is that when we were making the appointment, Hubs said that is the same day R7 had his tubes put in. How does he remember this stuff? That was 7 years ago. I do good to remember what in the heck happened last night. By the way when we got home we got out R7's baby book and to the day R3 is having his surgery. I almost flipped when I saw R7's arm band and saw the date 05-29-01.

The better thing that happened Friday is that R7 was named MC for his schools talent show. We wanted to do his commercial imitations but he changed his mind. He is super excited and I can't wait to see him.

OK so for Mother's Day on Saturday I wanted to take the kids to the zoo, which we did and they had a blast! But before that we did that we went to the Museum of Natural Science. Twice a year they release new butterflies into their habitat and for a small fee they will let you purchase a butterfly. You get to pick your butterfly and they put your name on their web site along with the type of butterfly you bought. Hubs thought this would be fun and so off the museum we went. It was awesome! When we walked in, all these butterflies literally were just flying every where. It didn't matter where you were in the dome they were there. Flying at your face, landing on your head, and even trying to fly into the waterfall. It was very beautiful. There were so many different ones. Big, small, bright colored, plain ones. You get the idea. But they were all beautiful to me. I could have stayed in there all day. My hair couldn't though. I could feel it trying to frizz but thanks to my trusty Chi iron I was good. Any way I took way to many pictures. I even got one of a butterfly on Hub's head.

Next it was off to eat. We can't go to Houston with out eating a Pappasito's. We do not have one where we live. Such a tragedy. We have Pappas BBQ and Pappadeaux's but no Pappasito's. What kind of town do we live in? I then proceed to stuff my self full of chips, hot sauce, and fajitas. Diet, what diet?

So today I am doing nothing! We went to church and then came home to lay around all day. How glorious. No laundry to do, no kitchen to clean. A little slice of mommy heaven. Hubs is going to grill me his famous rib eye steak for dinner. Along with all the goodies. You know loaded baked potato and buttery corn on the cob. Yummy! Guess I will start my diet Monday.

So happy Mother's Day to all of the moms. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thankful Thursday

If this takes off, then it will be great! But I am going to try it just for today to see how it goes. I want to make Thursday's a day of thankfulness. Hence the name Thankful Thursday. A day to thank God for all he has done in my life. Funny how Mercy Me's Only Imagine is playing on the radio right now on a top 40 station. Hmmm, a sign maybe?

OK so here it goes. I will give at least 3 things that I am thankful for. Maybe I will list more but no less than 3.

I am thankful for:

1. My family
My "boys" all of them. My husband is amazing! Yes he is. He loves all of us and puts up with so much from the three of us any normal man would run but not him. He is my best friend and my rock! The boys are just that the boys. They are my world. They are rough and tough and all else that applies. R7 is really a great big brother he is so sweet with R3. R3 is such a comedian. He comes up with the funniest things. I love them to pieces. I wouldn't change a thing about either of them. I thank God everyday for letting me be their mommy.

2.My friends.
I am thankful for my friends. I have two very special friends that I just love. We can call each other at any given moment and with no questions asked and we are there. We can tell each other anything and know that "it is in the vault" never to repeated. I love these women. Everyone needs someone like this in their life.

3. My life
I am blessed. I have a good life. I have a family who loves me, a roof over my head, and food to eat. There are many out there who don't. So thank you God for blessing me with these wonderful gifts. I am truly amazed at the work you do in my life on daily basis. Thank you for giving me this life. I lift all of this up to you. For all of this is given to me by you. I pray in all that I do I continue to give you the glory.

Tag. What are you thankful for?

Guitar Hero Mama

I love me some Guitar Hero. Hubs bought it around Christmas after he won a Play Station 3 at MY company Christmas party. He would play and I would be like can you hurry up an episode of Deadliest Catch is on.

Well not to long after that we started to get together with a group of friends at least once a month to just hang out. The first time was at our house. The Hubs broke out Guitar Hero and my friend T went nuts. She said that she loved this game and has it for their Wii. So she proceeds to play and I must say she rocked! Me, I would get booed of the stage. Oh the shame y'all.

It was at this point I was determined to learn how to play the stupid video game. Oh once I learned how to play the game is anything but stupid. I am formally apologizing to Hubs right here and now. I love this game. I became addicted. I would play for hours at night. Only taking a break to eat dinner and put the kids to bed. I didn't even want to share this game with my kids. I know I was a bad mommy.

Well R7 decided that since his mama learned how to play that he would give it a try. I must say now the little darling is kicking my butt! I can play on easy and OK on medium. But me oh my he can play on medium. He is good. Hubs is good to. His best on Medium was missing only one note of a certain song to which our gerbil is named after.

I do have to throw this out there. R3 loves to get booed off the stage. He says "booed of the tage" He thinks he is so cool. He even does this little dance when his song ends. Almost like a touchdown end zone dance. I know what an end zone dance is even if I do hate football.

So last night the boys and I had a Guitar Hero battle. Hubs was gone working on a friends computer so he didn't get to par take in this glorious event. The boys and I had a blast taking turns playing. I even kicked some rock n roll butt. I played a song perfect. Not one note missed. I even thought about doing my own dance. But alas my victory was short lived. R7 reminded me I was playing on easy and that he could play everything on medium and finish in the green range on the Rock-O-Meter.

So in honor of R7 and his Guitar Hero greatness here are a few pictures from last night. Rock on baby. Rock On.

Here is one of Hubs I threw in just for fun.

Ballpark right of passage

Eating sunflower seeds at the ballpark is a right of passage. Every year just before the season begins I get a craving for these things. I have to admit that David is the best brand. I have tried several others but nothing compares to David sunflower seeds. I even love their saying..Eat. Spit. Be happy. No they aren't paying me to say this but I wouldn't refuse some sunflower seeds if they sent them to my door. (hint, hint)

The boys and I buy seeds before every game . R7 likes the plain old regular flavor. R3 calls them flower seeds and he like BBQ the best. Me, well they came out with a new flavor this year. Are you ready? Dill Pickle. Oh yeah! I love me some Dill Pickle sunflower seeds. As a matter of fact I have some in my mouth right now.

Yes I would consider myself an experienced seed eater. I do just like they say one would do. I pop a handful, well not a handful about 10-12 in my mouth. Store them in one cheek and transfer one over to the other side. I crack the shell and eat the seed. But I don't spit the shell. So unlady like. (yeah like having a cheek full of sunflower seeds is lady like) I take the shell out with my fingers and throw it on the ground or in the trash can.

Along with several other moms I can eat a whole bag by myself. It must be a sight to see all of us moms sitting by the dugout in our chairs with our cheeks puffed out with seeds and "spitting".

So with that. Eat. Spit. Be happy.

Prayers and Little Bunny Foo Foo

Every night when we sit down at the dinner table as a family, yes I know this may seem weird to some of you. But we eat as a family most nights in the dinning room. We let the boys decide if they want to say the blessing or let Hubs or myself do it. So tonight R3 said he would.

Keep in mind that he is 3. He started out by saying God is great, God is good, bless this food. Let Daddy feel better, let Little Bunny Foo Foo feel better, let Mommy feel better, let R7 feel better, just let every body feel better, Amen.

We were all like what, did he just pray for Little Bunny Foo Foo? It was so cute to listen to this child of mine pray. It didn't matter that he prayed for all of us to feel better even though tonight we are feeling fine or that he prayed for a nursery rhyme character. What mattered to me is he was praying. And in his little mind these are the things that were important to him at this moment. I was thankful he remember to pray for the food and to say Amen.

I remember when our children were born how I wanted to sit at the dinner table every night and have family time. We didn't have this when I was growing up and as an adult it is important to me. This was the time to discuss what happened during the course of our day. To find out what is going on with family or friends. To even share a glimpse of what God might have showed us this day. I am proud to say I have held my family to this and we eat dinner every night at the table.

I think it is important to teach your children to pray whether it be bed time prayers or dinner prayers or just to stop, be still, and pray. These are stepping stones to building a relationship with God. This is time to thank God for everything he has given to us and everything he will give to us. To lay at his feet everything that is troubling us. This is time to lift up blessings of answered prayers. And this is only the beginning.

Amen.

Ball park fashionista's

So R7 had a baseball tournament out of town. Well it is in another town but it is only about 40 minutes away and my sister in law lives there. So we called her to see if she and her family wanted to come watch.

Upon her arrival the first thing I noticed was this really cute white shirt she had on. Mind you my sister in law looks cute in just about anything. She has great fashion sense even if some of her outfits are on the wild side. Anyway next I noticed my niece who also had on a white shirt and black shorts. When they got to where we were standing my niece said that we all matched. All three of us had on some sort of white shirt with black trim and black capri's. We didn't even plan it. I guess it just runs in the family. Well then my mother in law shows up and she to had on a white t-shirt and black capri's. It was really funny to see all of us sitting together in the bleachers with our matching outfits.
I really wish I had my camera but it was at home, I had forgotten it.

So my mother in law looks at us and says that she has rubbed off on us. Sister just looks at me and at the same time we both say oh no we have rubbed off on you. No way are we going to let her think she has fashion sense, she's old and you know how old people dress. Just kidding.

It was fun to have everyone there. We even managed to stay away from the concession stand. Woo Hoo. Gotta run R3 just got into some fire ants. You know toothpaste is great for ant bites. It takes the sting right out.

I'm just rambling

I hate it when several different things have gone on through out the day and I think oh I can blog about that but when it comes time to start typing nothing comes to mind. That is the kind of day I am having. So I will just ramble awhile.

It is so freakin' windy here! I don't mind a little kite flying weather but not the kind where your car is swerving into other lanes on the highway. I swear I couldn't keep my SUV in one lane. I love Texas weather. Where else can you run the heat at night and the A/C by the afternoon?

R3 just asked me to "take a treatment" meaning a breathing treatment. I don't know any 3 year old who will ask to take his medicine. His internal clock is some thing else. He knows when it's time to take his medicine or anything else. You would think by this act that I am a strict follower of the structure thing but the only thing I am structured on is the bed time. I like having the boys in bed by a certain time during the week. Weekends and everything else is fly by the seat of your pants.

R7 is almost done with baseball season. I love it but by this time I must admit I am a little ready for some down time in the evenings. It's baseball just about every night. I really hate to see my week nights next year when R3 is able to play. All I know is I will be running like a chicken with my head cut off. I will be taking donations for the therapy sessions I will be needing next year.

R3 is currently watching High School Musical 2. I know it's a bit much for a 3 year old but he loves it. He sings and dances. To funny to watch. I have taken several videos of this. But I think if I hear the song "Fabulous" one more time I just might dye my hair blonde and spray paint my car pink! Just when I think he is tired of the movie he starts asking to watch it again.

OK enough of the torture I will stop rambling. What's going on with y'all?

Other Blogs

Once upon a time in the blogging world there were sites everywhere to read about the things that you found interesting.

Some of those sites are still available and others are not. It's no longer about me trying to connect you to something or someone, but more of just find a site that is interesting to you.

Now go find something that brings you joy.

About Me

This is the story of me trying to live my life as a working mother while trying to keep some sort of balance between home and the many hours of baseball games, practices, and lessons all while looking like I just stepped out of a magazine shoot. I'm just kidding.

I have been married to a wonderful man since September 1997. We have two boys R1 & R2. I love my family, they mean the world to me and I would do anything for them.

I also LOVE baseball. I am always so excited when the season begins and completely lost when it ends. I love to cheer for my boys and my beloved Houston Astros, they are my favorite team.

I grew up in Houston. I love living in Texas and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Fixin’ to and y’all are part of my every day vocabulary.

My family is a huge part of who I am. If I can get being a wife and mother right, then God is truly doing something great with me. I pray daily for His grace and guidance in this journey I am on.

Well this is me. Feel free to hang out and read about my crazy life.
