The Shack

I just finished reading one of the most amazing books!

The Shack.

I couldn't put it down. I let the laundry go, the cleaning go, the cooking go. OK not the cooking. But everything house hold related took a back seat.

This is a wonderful story about finding God. About healing. About letting go.

While I won't give away the plot, I will tell you one of my favorite parts in the story is when Mackenzie's eyes were open to see everything the way the Holy Spirit sees everything. It is describes at this...

Brightness so full of color. Everything looked as if it was woven of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires. All different shades and hues. Everything was like this. People, animals. flowers, trees, all of creation.

It made me wonder is this truly how the Hold Spirit sees me. Full of color. A blaze of light, shinning for the glory of God. Or does he see me as dull and dim.

I want to be shinning. I want all of the different shades of reds, blues, greens, yellows, pinks, every color to burst out of me with love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Another favorite part is how Mackenzie calls God, Papa. I absolutely love that.

OK now go read, you will love it! Promise.

That is too funny, I got this book as a birthday gift and cannot seem to get into it. I am stuck at the part where the Great Sadness starts. Guess I will go try again.

I loved this book. I have to send it to my mom to read next.

My father-in-law didn't like it though.
