The Hole

My neighbor who's tree hit my house did something nice for Hubs and I.

He raked our front yard and had someone haul off the stump of the one tree we lost.

I was so happy, I could have done cartwheels in the front yard, but I am no longer 15 and surely would have pulled multiple muscles in the process.

But the problem now is we have a huge hole left by the tree. So like before when we lost trees, we will have dirt hauled in to fill in the hole.

The other problem is R3 will no longer go in the front yard by himself. He will go in the drive way and no further.

He is afraid of the hole. He says it will swallow him and he will never get out. I didn't know whether to laugh or hold him close for comfort.

He will only go on that side of the yard if I hold him or hold his hand as he stands behind me.

Now to put this hole size into some perspective, R8 is about 4 1/2 feet tall. He can lay down in the hole because he ain't skeered and still have about 2ft all the way around him.

The funny part is the entire time R8 was laying down in the hole R3 was screaming he wanted to get in the hole. But when I told him to go ahead, he took off running for the front door.

Go figure.

That is so funny : ). Maybe he will want to go in it if it stays there long enough! I am glad that your neigbors are kind.
