Dance Diva

This past weekend I left all three of the boys to fend for themselves and I took off with my mother in law, sister in law, and niece to Baton Rouge for my niece's dance competition.

We had a great time! My niece is one very talented dancer. She placed 8th for her solo routine out of about 150 girls. One of the six dances she was in placed 3rd which won her whole team an invitation to attended nationals this summer in New York.

I was one proud aunt.

But after sitting there all day and I do mean all day on Sunday, listening to the girls, their mama's, their coaches, and the studio owners, lets just say I'm very very glad that I am the mama of boys.

I know not all girls are dance drama divas. There were some very sweet girls, which makes up for the ones that were giving attitudes to their mothers or coaches and so on. Way to much ESTROGEN for me,

But enough of that, here are a few snap shots of my niece. Did I tell you I was proud of her?
See I told you...Diva! I love you baby girl and I am so proud of you!

Oh, I am right there with you when it comes to being so thankful that we have two boys. The whole dance/cheer/pom thing is completely lost on me, and I'm not sure I could handle ALL THE DRAMA from the girls and many of the moms. It just seems that boys are a lower maintenance, Having said that, I'm sure that if we'd had girls we'd be up to our necks in tap shoes and tutus. :)

Congrats to your niece!
