Seriously, it's only July!

Yes dear bloggy friends it's hurricane season. Which loosely translates into open season on the Gulf of Mexico.

Weather Underground is awesome for looking at all things weather related.
And right now I am keeping a very close eye on Tropical Storm Bonnie.

You all know I hate hurricane season for this, this, and this reason.

And one would think living in Southeast Texas most of my adult life I would be used to these kinds of things, but I am not. I don't think I ever will be.

And all I have to say is...

Hurricanes, hurricanes stay away!
I do not want to come out and play!
The house is fixed and I will pray,
that hurricane season will end today!!

Ugh! I'm with you, girl! I'm sorry for all that you had to go through with Ike. We managed to avoid any damage to our house (only the fence was damaged) & weren't without power for too long, but we were "lucky". I actually think God just showed us a little mercy because of the personal "hurricane" we were experiencing at the time (it was just 10 days after my mister's cancer diagnosis, and we still didn't know if it had spread or not!) I pray that we are both spared from any stupid hurricanes this season!

My Bonnie lies over the ocean.
My Bonnie lies over the sea.
My Bonnie isn't really my Bonnie.
So please don't bring Bonnie to me.

Don't bring,
Don't bring,
Don't bring that Bonnie to me-ee-ee!
Don't bring,
Don't bring,
Oh, don't bring that Bonnie to me!

We will pray that TS Bonnie will turn. My BIL & SIL live on the AL coast south of Mobile, so they are in danger too.
