I am wearing my hazmat suit

The stomach virus of 09 has hit my house.

Last Friday night R2 came down with it and had it for two days.

Hubs caught it on Tuesday and then it was R1's turn, he got sick on Wednesday.

Around 3:30 AM, Hubs and I were woken up by R2 crying and yelling. Screaming to be exact that R1 had thrown up in HIS bed and on him.

And yes for those of you wondering, 3:30 AM is a terrible hour to be awake!

So I get up and sure enough, R1 had gotten sick and it was all over. I will spare you the details but we stripped the bed and sprayed the room with Lysol. Washed R2 off and got R1 a fresh shirt.

I have to admit I didn't know who to feel more sorry for. R1 because his stomach hurt or R2 because his brother had thrown up on him.

By the time I got back in bed it was 45 minutes later and all I kept thinking about was I had to be up by 5:15.

I tried to relax, closed my eyes, took deep breaths and nothing helped. My thoughts were keeping me awake. I was running through my head all of the things that I needed to do. Like make sure R2 mattress pad was put in the dryer, pick up some crackers, ginger ale, and more gummy coke bottles. I finally feel back a sleep around 5AM.

As of last night R1 still couldn't keep anything down, not even water. So I am taking him to the doctor just to be on the safe side. The good thing is he doesn't have a fever or chills so it will probably just have to run it's course but with the pig flu and people panicking I figured I would join in and rush off to the doctors office.

But in the mean time I am wearing my hazmat suit and packing a can of Lysol.

Wish me luck!

Oh man...frequent and shared stomach bugs was on my "con" list when deciding to have children. Seriously. I don't handle vomit well...at all. Hats off to you!
