The more things change the more they stay the same

When I was younger every now and then my mother would make us come in early from playing out side and take a bath and put on our pj's while it was still day light out side.

I would go in kicking and screaming all the way. I would gripe how all my friends got to stay out and play till it was dark. I would gripe about having to take a bath. I would moan about how it was still day light out side and I was in my room in my pj's. I sulked till the sun went down and tried to reassure myself that I didn't miss a thing.

The boys didn't put up a fight when I said time to come in. Well R8 didn't. R3 thinks he is nature boy and should be out side all the time. So any time I say come in, there is some sort of ruckus.

Here it is 8:05 PM and I am in my pj's. Happy as can be.

The boys are bathed and watching a movie. Hubs is on the couch, with my lap top watching the Astros.

Me, I'm just chillin'. Funny how things change as we get older, yet they stay the same.

I just had flash backs to my childhood too! Bath, fresh PJ's and the long summer nights :)

Perspective is a FUNNY thing.

Sounds like a perfect summer evening to me, though!
