Hurricane Ike didn't take a hike

Hi bloggy friends!

Thank you for all of your prayers. I appreciate it.

Well Hurricane Ike didn't take a hike like I had hoped. He marched right into my house.

We did get some news from our neighbors about our house and it wasn't good.

We have two trees in our house. One is in our bedroom and the other one is in our living room.

I cried, I screamed, I cried some more and I prayed.

I thanked God that we weren't home. I thanked God that we are all safe.

Right now, my mood is numb. I am want to go home but the TX Dept. of Public Safety isn't letting anyone in to SE TX till Tuesday.

Hubs and I sat down and prayed.

We have decided we are going to move forward and not dwell on what we can't do here and worry what is going on back at home.

We know deep in our hearts that God is going to take care of us and he has a plan.

God is good, all the time.
All the time, God is good.

I'm so sorry about the house. Just be thankful that you and your family are safe. The house will be able to be fixed.

Hugs!

Thanks everyone! I am blessed. We have word that we won't be able to get back to SE TX until at least Tuesday. Entergy says they have total power loss and we won't have power for over a month. UGH!

I saw your story and link over at The Roost and just had to come by to let you know how sorry I am about the damage that was done by Ike. I can't even imagine how you must feel, but I will pray for you as you start to put your life back together.

I'm so sorry about your home. Your house will be fixed and most likely better than ever in no time at all. It's times like these that make me so glad we have the Lord on our side.

I am so sorry about the trees entering your domain. I can't imagine. I am so thankful that you are a Christian and even though you are feeling overwhelmed right now you know that God works all things together for good. I will be praying for you and your family this week. God bless.

I am so sorry. You are right...God is good all the time. But this is not an easy thing to go through. We will absolutely be praying.

One day at a time, my friend.
